"We're All About Hands On Fun!"

The Idea

The Monkey Show is the brainchild of Amy MacLaren, stay-at-home mom from Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Amy has first hand experience in finding ways to keep kids busy, creative and most importantly, quiet!

say hi on facebook

After making a monkey with my son, Colton, in 2007 I saw how much he loved it and how proud he was to have made it. (If I remember correctly, there was a bit of help on my end as he was only 4 but in his eyes it was all him!) Other moms always saw me a "crafty" and told me they could never pull projects like that together, wouldn't know where to start. It's too bad their kids have to miss out on this sweet, amazing experience....Hey! Maybe they don't! Why don't I get it ready for them and put it in a box?

That's when the banana started to peel.

The Bonus (real purpose of the kits,  Shhhh....)

Picture spending 2 solid hours making a monkey with your favorite person. You might even get lucky, strike up a conversation, laugh a little and have a really good time. When all is said and done you have a monkey to hang on to and remind you of those moments everytime you look at it.

Sock Monkeys are ridiculously cool but the memories created by doing an activity with family and friends might be even more awesome.
